GENEL RONQUILLO
I believe stories heal, not in a vague, feel-good way, but because putting words to what we live through is often the first step toward making sense of it. Every story is a piece of something larger: a shared, human narrative we’re all writing together. I’ve kept a journal since I was in third grade—it’s where I’ve always gone to think, process, and make sense of whatever season of life I’m in. After more than two decades of filling pages for myself, I’ve reached a point where I want to share parts of my stories and my life with others who might find them useful. This blog is organized into different chapters of my life: adventure, fitness, food, gardening, holistic healing, and professional growth.
Beyond this digital space, I’m a certified nonprofit professional, but that’s just one chapter, too. I’m a first-generation Filipino-American, born-and-raised San Diegan, the eldest of five, and a dog mom who is still figuring most of this out in real time. My titles are worth celebrating, but they’ve never been the whole story, just one thread in it. You can also find me on the following social platforms:
If something here resonates, I hope it’s the nudge to look a little closer at your own story.
